Metallic Hand-crocheted Copper-Colored Leather Rosette with Kingman Green Turquoise and Freshwater Keishi Pearls
These rosettes of metallic copper-colored leather cord are hand-crocheted. Then they are hand-stitched onto handmade super-light, strong and skin-safe titanium wire hoops. This design gives the earrings color, texture and volume while being practically weightless. They hang from nickel-free, skin safe sterling silver ear wires. All joints are hand-soldered so everything stays put. The components are hand made from leather and metal suppliers from the USA. The rosettes measure 5” in diameter and the whole earring measures between 3-3.5” in length from top of ear wire to bottom of the dangle.
Rosettes are a symbol in Christianity from which the rosary evolved. Called a Mandala in Sanskrit, meaning “circle” or “disk, they are important symbols in Tantric, Hindu, Buddhism, and Jainism. In many other cultures they represent the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community. Real pearls and stones add beauty from the earth and sea.
Each pair of earrings comes in a nice recyclable linen-look cardboard box with a satin pouch inside. If you would like to have your jewelry gift packaged, please note that in your order and add an extra $5.00 for a large satin ribbon, a wax stamp, tissue paper and a gift bag.
